# Skill: Pet Welcome Box

Gift inspiration tool for pet shopping lists and first-30-days pet welcome boxes with curated Amazon buy links and recommendation lists.

## When to use
- A new dog, cat, or other pet needs a welcome kit (containment, bedding, bowls, cleanup, id-tag, walking, enrichment, grooming)
- Someone needs a new puppy checklist or new kitten kit
- Someone needs curated buy links / a pet shopping list for missing essentials
- You need curated starters plus open Amazon search (**search is primary**)

## Roles & URLs
- **owner**: `ownerUrl` → `/w/{id}?edit=…` — build/edit the welcome box
- **shopper / gifter**: `shopUrl` → `/w/{id}/shop?edit=…` — search & buy

## Steps
1. GET `/api/v1/search?q=&species=&sizeBand=&stage=&kitCategory=&budgetBand=&marketplace=&locale=&limit=` (always include marketplace + locale)
2. Prefer POST `/api/v1/agent/create-and-fill` with `petName?`, `species`, `sizeBand`, `stage?`, `budgetBand`, `kitCategories`/`interests`, `marketplace`, `locale`, `itemAsins[]`, `itemKeywords[]`, `itemQueries[]`
3. Or POST `/api/v1/wishlists` then POST `.../items` with `{ name, asin }` or `{ name, url }`
4. GET `/api/v1/catalog` — curated starters (150–200+ real ASINs on amazon.se); **search is the main path**
5. POST `/api/v1/products/resolve` `{ asin }` or `{ url }` or `{ keywords, species, sizeBand, marketplace, locale }` → `buyUrl`
6. Return `ownerUrl` and `shopUrl` to the user
7. If `storage === "token"` and `id` changed, update bookmarks (prefer Upstash Redis; prefix `pwb:`)
8. **Always pass marketplace + locale** — never present amazon.se as the only option

## Field enums
- `species`: dog | cat | other
- `sizeBand`: toy | small | medium | large | xl
- `stage` (optional): puppy | kitten | adult | senior
- `budgetBand`: under-500 | 500-1500 | 1500-3000 | 3000-plus
- `kitCategories` / `interests`: containment | bedding | bowls | cleanup | id-tag | walking | enrichment | grooming

## Tracking tags
amazon.se uses Associates tag sw-petbox-21 via NEXT_PUBLIC_AMAZON_TAGS_JSON. Other storefronts may omit `?tag=` until real IDs are set. Never invent `petwelcomebox-*` or reuse tags from other verticals. Prefer `buyUrl` / `trackingTag` fields. UI may show “may earn from qualifying purchases”.
